Our four days at the iconic estate consisted of wine, wine tastings, a wine festival, and (unsurprisingly) some wine headaches. But hear me out: I would absolutely grunt through double the hangovers just to have a few more hours at this property, dancing under the disco-ball-lined treetops to live music all night long. It&#8217;s gonna be pretty damn hard to top our experience.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"1\" class=\"css-i9p093 emevuu60\">Every moment at Ch\u00e2teau l\u2019Hospitalet was epic\u2014from the vibrant energy of the Jazz Festival to the breathtaking views of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cosmopolitan.com\/lifestyle\/a37364758\/wine-country-vacation\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.cosmopolitan.com\/lifestyle\/a37364758\/wine-country-vacation\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"vineyards\" data-node-id=\"1.1\" class=\"body-link css-egnagj emevuu60\" rel=\"noopener\">vineyards<\/a> and incredible people we met from all over the world. Immediately greeted by busy staff members preparing for night two of the hotel\u2019s 21st annual Jazz Festival, my friend and I gave each other a look, knowing that we were about to have a pretty incredible next few days. <\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"a road with grass and trees on the side\" title=\"a road with grass and trees on the side\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1920\" height=\"823\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" style=\"color:transparent;width:100%;height:auto;\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/download-66b1b42e949c9.jpeg\" class=\"css-0 e1g79fud0\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Courtesy of G\u00e9rard Bertrand<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"11\" class=\"css-i9p093 emevuu60\">We walked into the lobby and were handed glasses of award-winning ros\u00e9 made by G\u00e9rard Bertrand, the winemaker who owns the hotel (he&#8217;s honestly a local celeb). From there, our bags were delivered to our room while we got a chance to explore the estate\u2014complete with lush gardens, storybook views, and tranquil pools\u2014before we got ready for the evening. <br data-node-id=\"11.1\"\/><\/p>\n<p>THE JAZZ FESTIVAL<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"13\" class=\"css-i9p093 emevuu60\">For five nights in July, the hotel turns into a giant concert venue, bringing in people from around the world to watch top jazz artists perform. Guests can purchase tickets to attend whichever portion of the event they&#8217;d like (for example, you can go to a dinner, concert, or after-party), which makes it a great festival for all ages. <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"14\" class=\"css-i9p093 emevuu60\">We got to try out one of the Gala dinners, with an incredible menu curated by the hotel&#8217;s chef and equally great wine pairings. Then, as the sun set after dinner, we made our way to the courtyard, where a giant stage was set up, and watched the singers. My favorite part? We stayed on the second floor of the Ch\u00e2teau, in a luxurious two-story room with a comfy bed and a direct view of the main stage. The top level also had a dedicated loft area with a giant (giant!) jacuzzi prepped with everything you might need for a late-night, post-party relax session, like bubbles, jets, and wine. <\/p>\n<p>THE AMENITIES<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"20\" class=\"css-i9p093 emevuu60\">While the rooms are fabulous to unwind in, the estate was so beautiful that all we wanted to do was spend our time outdoors. That&#8217;s also where I got the most relaxing facial massage I\u2019ve ever had, using products from my favorite French beauty brand, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biologique-recherche.com\/en-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.biologique-recherche.com\/en-us\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"Biologique Recherche\" data-node-id=\"20.3\" class=\"body-link css-egnagj emevuu60\" rel=\"noopener\">Biologique Recherche<\/a>. (Case in point: I fell asleep mid-massage and woke up to glowing skin.) That said, all meals were created by the hotel\u2019s head chef, Chef Laurent Chabert, at the on-site restaurant, <a href=\"https:\/\/chateau-hospitalet.com\/pages\/gastronomie-lart-de-vivre\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/chateau-hospitalet.com\/pages\/gastronomie-lart-de-vivre\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"L&#039;Art de Vivre\" data-node-id=\"23.1\" class=\"body-link css-egnagj emevuu60\" rel=\"noopener\">L&#8217;Art de Vivre<\/a>. Each course at the eatery is intended to pair perfectly with G\u00e9rard Bertrand\u2019s wines, and I must say the sommeliers and chefs succeeded.
