Kyle Richards<\/a>\u00a0is considering a big move in the future. In a May 2025 interview, \u201cThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills\u201d<\/a>\u00a0star said she wants to have a quieter life\u2014and that it would include a move away from her $8.5 million Encino, California estate.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been telling my friends lately, that\u2019s it, I\u2019m moving to a farm. I am going off the grid,\u201d Richards told DailyMail.com<\/a> in the interview.<\/p>\n

The mom of four, who is dealing with a separation from her husband<\/a>\u00a0Mauricio Umansky<\/a> as well as the serious health issues of her close friend Teddi Mellencamp amid the RHOBH hiatus,\u00a0explained that social media has become too scary a place for her. \u201cIt\u2019s so toxic, it\u2019s so negative. I can\u2019t stand it,\u201d Richards said. \u201c\u2019I\u2019m going to live off the land. I don\u2019t want to go on any social media.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kyle Richards Said She Doesn\u2019t Feel as \u2018Connected\u2019 to L.A. Anymore<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Richards has hinted at an extreme move. While she was born and raised in Southern California, the RHOBH star bravely teased a move away from the area.<\/p>\n

In the RHOBH season 13 episode, \u201cA Celebration of Life,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0Richards reflected during a scenic day trip to Ojai, California, with her castmates. \u201cWhen I\u2019m here, places like this, I think this is how I wanna live, just like this. Quiet, away from everybody,\u201d she said. \u201cI will always have a love for Los Angeles, but I just don\u2019t feel as connected to it as I used to. The things that make me happy are being outside, running by the river, hiking with my dog.\u201d<\/p>\n

Richards clarified that she would not make any moves until after her youngest daughter Portia, finished high school. \u201cOne day, when Portia\u2019s done with school, I\u2019m gonna choose someplace to live that is more conducive to what brings me happiness,\u201d Richards vowed.<\/p>\n

Portia will graduate from high school in 2026 and is currently looking at colleges.<\/p>\n

Kyle Richards Previously Said She Has Too Many Dogs to Move<\/p>\n

Despite her long separation from Umansky, Richards has opted to remain in the former couple\u2019s Encino mansion. In April 2024, she told fans on an Amazon Live<\/a> that she chose to stay in the family home for practical reasons. \u201cI\u2019m still in my house, I have too many dogs to go anywhere else. I\u2019m still here,\u201d she said at the time.<\/p>\n

Even if she moves and goes off the grid,\u00a0 Richards has said she will keep her Encino dream home for her daughters. \u201cEven if I move one day to, like Aspen, Colorado, I\u2019ll keep [our Encino home] for my kids or something,\u201d Richards previously hinted that she could retire to Aspen someday,\u201d the RHOBH star\u00a0told Bravo TV.com<\/a> in 2022.<\/p>\n
