Daniel Mulvey sent teenage girl hardcore images on Snapchat and ramped up the crude content after discovering she was 14<\/p>\n

A top golf caddie <\/a>sent explicit photos and texts to a 14-year-old girl he met in the street after the TRNSMT <\/a>festival.<\/p>\n

Daniel Mulvey, 35, led a jetset lifestyle and rubbed shoulders with major sporting stars and celebrities like Donald Trump<\/a> and Gary Player due to his golfing connections.<\/p>\n

But now he is facing prison <\/a>after sending pictures of a man carrying out a sex act and explicit texts to a teenage girl after convincing her to give him her contact details.<\/p>\n

After the teenager\u2019s family found out about the messages they carried out a sting, recording the footage Mulvey sent and taking it to police.<\/p>\n

A relative of the young victim last night demanded jail time for Mulvey, who caddied at The Open and various big international events on the DP World Tour.<\/a><\/p>\n

He posted photos on social media of himself posing with US president Donald Trump, golf legend Gary Player <\/a>and major winner Padraig Harrington – all enabled through his flashy golf career.<\/p>\n

The victim\u2019s relative said: \u201cWe were disgusted at what we were seeing and even more so when we saw how old the guy was. He is just a vile predator and people need to be warned about him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mulvey was charged and pleaded guilty to the sleazy conduct at a hearing in April at Glasgow Sheriff Court. He is due to be sentenced at the court today (FRIDAY).<\/p>\n

He faces a potential jail term, being put on the Sex Offenders Register and faces the end of his caddie career.<\/p>\n

The victim\u2019s relative said he was furious at the way Mulvey carried on with his sleazy messaging after being explicitly told she was 14.<\/p>\n

And he told how Mulvey\u2019s response to being told her age was to ask: \u201cCan I trust you?\u201d<\/p>\n

The family member said: \u201cWe checked the guy\u2019s social media and he\u2019s on Facebook and Instagram boasting about how he was travelling the world as a big time golf caddy.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s got photos from Dubai, Australia, Japan – all over the place, living the high life.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s been pictured with Donald Trump, Gary Player and Bob MacIntyre.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut at the end of the day he\u2019s just a low life paedophile who targeted a 14-year-old girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source said that Mulvey – who has recently worked with professional golfers Guido Migliozzi, of Italy, and Finland\u2019s Kalle Samooja – had the chance to back off when it was made clear how old the girl was.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cHe didn\u2019t back off. He upped the stakes and started asking horrific questions about her sexual experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said he didn\u2019t care how old she was. And then he asked if he could trust her, which is appalling because it\u2019s just grooming talk.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe went on to send a video, where he appears to abuse himself.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cHe deserves to go to straight to jail and he should never work in such a high profile job again.\u201d<\/p>\n

After meeting the girl in Glasgow city centre in July 2023 after that day\u2019s TRNSMT festival, Mulvey soon started dropping her messages on Snapchat.<\/p>\n

The family member said: \u201cIt came to light that the girl was getting messages and we had to decide whether or not to shut it down or to go to police.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were aware that taking a screenshot would alert him, so another phone was used to record him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe just kept sending messages that were getting worse, so he deserves any punishment that comes his way.<\/p>\n

It is understood that Mulvey told the girl he was 24 when she asked on Snapchat.<\/p>\n

She was horrified to find out he was, at that time, 33, 19 years older than her.<\/p>\n

Mulvey, of Seamill, West Kilbride, pleaded guilty to sending sexual messages to the girl and making reference to engaging in sexual activity with her, between July 8 and July 9 in 2023.<\/p>\n

The charge, a breach of the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009, states that the messages were sent intentionally and for the purposes of obtaining sexual gratification or of humiliating, distressing or alarming the victim.<\/p>\n
