Prince Charles may have an opportunity to talk to his estranged son Prince Harry, after their reported rift. The King is traveling over across the pond for official business, but will he see his son?<\/p>\n
Buckingham Palace reported that King Charles and Queen Camilla<\/a> are heading to Canada next week to open a session of Canadian Parliament. It also brings them to the same continent as Harry. It\u2019s not known whether the Monarch will be going to the United States as a pit stop, but the door might be open for reconciliation.<\/p>\n More from StyleCaster<\/strong><\/p>\n Prince Harry dropped his bombshell interview<\/a> with the BBC<\/a> on May 6, 2025, where he explained that his father doesn\u2019t talk to him. However, after his father\u2019s cancer diagnosis, he wants to reconnect with his family. \u201cI would love reconciliation with my family. I don\u2019t know how much longer my father has,\u201d he continued. \u201cHe won\u2019t speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile.\u201d<\/p>\n However, members of the Royal family might not be in favor of a reconciliation anytime soon. \u201cAs long as William, Kate and Camilla have a say in the matter, Harry will be left out in the Californian wilderness,\u201d sources told The Times<\/a>, while some added that the controversy is still very \u201ctender\u201d for the Monarch.<\/p>\n Prince William, for one, still holds contempt for his brother, but his wife Kate Middleton might be willing to listen to her brother-in-law. \u201cI think the Prince of Wales remains very, very angry and upset and\u00a0feels very betrayed,\u201d Vanity Fair\u2019s royal correspondent Katie Nicholl\u00a0told the Sun<\/a>. \u201cPossibly the Princess of Wales is still open to a reconciliation in some form,\u201d she said. \u201cI still feel it\u2019s quite early.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBut I do think when you go through something like a cancer diagnosis and you go through the sort of journey that she has done, and you confront your own mortality, you realize life is short,\u201d she said talking about Kate Middleton\u2019s own cancer treatement, adding that life is \u201cfar too short for rifts and family feuds.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cI was talking to sources close to the princess and to William, who said, \u2018Never give up hope, there\u2019s always a chance,\u2019 but of course it\u2019s always in the timing.\u201d<\/p>\n Best of StyleCaster<\/strong><\/p>\n Sign up for Stylecaster’s Newsletter<\/a>.
