Novak Djokovic shook the tennis world when he announced Andy Murray would become his new coach at the start of 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The pair worked together at the Australian Open<\/a>, Indian Wells and Miami, as well as the European clay court tournaments in Monte Carlo and Madrid.<\/p>\n

Djokovic and Murray have now parted ways<\/a>, bringing the dream partnership to an end, with the French Open on the horizon.<\/p>\n

Plenty have had their say on the all-star coaching partnership, including one of Djokovic\u2019s former coaches, six-time Grand Slam champion Boris Becker<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One question on the mind of many was how long Andy Murray <\/a>would coach Novak Djokovic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Following some thinking time after the Australian Open, the pair continued to work together through the North American hard court swing and a portion of the European clay court season.<\/p>\n

Djokovic is now working with Dusan Vemic and Boris Bosnjakovic<\/a> and will work with them for the next tournaments, the ongoing Geneva Open<\/a> and the French Open<\/a>, where he aims to win a record 25th Grand Slam.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Assessing Djokovic and Murray parting ways, Boris Becker was surprised that they didn\u2019t stay together at least until Wimbledon<\/a>, a tournament where both players have had success in the past.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought it was always about the Grand Slams and I thought the campaign in Melbourne went very well,\u201d Becker told The Independent<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know the reasons. Novak is a smart guy \u2013 he knows what he\u2019s doing. I definitely thought this relationship would go at least until Wimbledon, but I was wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vemic and Bosnjakovic have stepped in to fill the spot left by Murray in Djokovic\u2019s coaching team.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen who the Serbian will want to bring in as a long-term coach at this point in his long and illustrious career.<\/p>\n

Given Djokovic\u2019s wealth of knowledge on the game and his plethora of achievements, Becker believes his new coach must be someone he can still learn from, and that will prove to be a challenge.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou should never underestimate Novak Djokovic, he\u2019s always a very fierce competitor, he always has something up his sleeve,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cNovak Djokovic knows pretty much everything about tennis. So, who can he talk to that knows more? The challenge is for Novak to find someone that he has respect [for], who he can learn something from.<\/p>\n
