Two men were seriously hurt after a collision in Birmingham last night.<\/p>\n

The pair were drivers of cars which had collided between Lichfield<\/a> Road and Church Road, in Aston, just before 10pm yesterday, Thursday, April 10.<\/p>\n

One casualty received advanced trauma care at the scene having suffered serious injuries.<\/p>\n

A second man sustained potentially serious injuries.<\/p>\n

Both men were taken to hospital for further treatment.<\/p>\n

In a statement, West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “Two men have been conveyed to hospital following a road traffic collision in Aston last night.<\/p>\n

“West Midlands Ambulance Service<\/a> was called at 9.51pm to a road traffic collision involving two cars on Lichfield<\/a> Road and Church Road in Aston, Birmingham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic and the WMAS critical care car attended the scene.”<\/p>\n

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman added: \u201cUpon arrival we found two men who were the drivers of the vehicles.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first man was assessed and had sustained serious injuries. He received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital<\/a> for further treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe second man was assessed had sustained potentially serious injuries and received treatment from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to Heartlands Hospital for further assessment.\u201d<\/p>\n
