There’s a seemingly never-ending pile of paperwork and ID checks to sort out; there’s the disruption to your daily routine; financial implications and demands; and much more besides.

Then, there’s the time-consuming hassle of packing and unpacking to consider.

One man moved into a new place about a month ago and quickly “unpacked, got comfortable” and “settled in”. A bit later, just as he was starting to feel at home, his neighbour came knocking with a demand.

On Reddit’s popular ‘entitled people’ forum, the man’s friend shared his story and explained: “She didn’t ask. She demanded he give her the Wi-Fi password.”

“Explained that she had used the previous tenant’s Wi-Fi, who had no password protection and now expected to use his.”

It appears the woman was angry she no longer had access to free WiFi and felt the man owed her his password so she could use it without charge.

His friend continued: “If she had just asked nicely, my friend might have agreed. But not like that. He declined.”

Unimpressed with being refused access and not getting her way, the woman then “complained to housing management” where she insisted “they compel him to let her use his Wi-Fi”.

The management team, quite rightly, “declined and then informed” the man about his neighbour’s shenanigans. Since that episode, the neighbour “hasn’t spoken to him”.

In the comments section, readers were eager to weigh in. One user summarised: “She doesn’t get his password and doesn’t talk to him… that’s really a win-win for him”.

Another remarked: “I guess she learnt that ‘No.’ is a complete sentence”, while someone else observed: “Internet doesn’t come for free. Either offer to pay or get your own lady. Sounds like a good thing she doesn’t talk to him”.

A different commenter warned: “Never, ever let someone else use your wifi, even if you’re planning to goof on them.

“If they start surfing for contraband material, guess whose door the police are going to kick in first? It’s monumentally stupid.”

Echoing this sentiment, another added: “There are a million things that people can do on your IP that are highly illegal and you then have to prove it was someone else.

“And in the meantime, it’s assumed you were the one being a creeper. Nope. She can get her own.”

A man was left stunned after moving into a new home and being immediately confronted by his new…

[8818
381,748,393,4884,10463,2511,16,15,416
0":"post-125532","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-bristol","8":"tag-bristol","9":"tag-britain","10":"tag-england","11":"tag-great-britain","12":"tag-neighbour-rows","13":"tag-reddit","14":"tag-uk","15":"tag-united-kingdom","16":"tag-viral
["GET
