Police have warned the public “not to approach” a man missing<\/a> with a Liverpool accent in Edinburgh.<\/p>\n

Cops are appealing for information on the whereabouts of Daniel Lewis who was last seen <\/a>in St Leonard’s at around 4.25pm on Thursday, May 22.<\/p>\n

Officers say the 29-year-old <\/a>has links to Merseyside and Inverness and has a Liverpool accent.<\/p>\n

Daniel is described as being around 5ft 8″, he is of thin build with blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, navy shorts, a dark coloured lightweight jacket and black trainers.<\/a><\/p>\n

A major search has been launched to trace him with officers pouring through CCTV clips.<\/a><\/p>\n

Police Scotland<\/a> advised members of the public to contact police immediately if they spot him.<\/p>\n

CCTV clips of Daniel have been released as part of the appeal.<\/a><\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the force said: “Police Scotland<\/a> is appealing for information on the whereabouts of 29-year-old Daniel Lewis who was last seen in the St Leonard\u2019s area of Edinburgh around 4.25pm on Thursday, 22 May, 2025.<\/p>\n

“Daniel has links to Merseyside and Inverness<\/a> and has a Liverpool accent.<\/p>\n

“He is described<\/a> as being around 5\u20198\u201d, thin build with blonde hair. He was wearing a dark baseball cap, navy shorts, a dark coloured lightweight jacket and black trainers.<\/p>\n

“Officers are carrying out extensive searches and reviewing CCTV in an effort to trace him. Members of the public<\/a> are advised not to approach him if they see him but to contact police immediately.<\/p>\n

“Anyone who knows of his whereabouts should contact Police Scotland<\/a> on 101, or in an emergency on 999. Please quote incident number 2526 of Thursday, 22 May, 2025. Information can also be passed via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.”<\/p>\n
