\u201cWe need to understand how to cool players down and what to drink. I have done pre-season in Orlando (in 2022) and I will be very surprised if we do not suffer. The guys, no matter how old they are, they need to get fit because this World Cup is going to be a tough one.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tuchel has also told Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is in the squad for the next two games, that he cannot only rely on the creative side of his game, and that defensive concentration is paramount.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can see that sometimes he relies heavily on his offensive contributions, and gives not so much emphasis on the defensive discipline and effort,\u201d Tuchel said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis major impact that he had for Liverpool over so many years, if he wants to have this impact in the English national team, then he has to take the defensive part very, very seriously. Because in qualifying football or tournament football, one defensive error, the one moment where you are not 100 per cent awake, can be decisive, can be the moment where you pack your suitcases and go home.\u201d<\/p>\n
