One of the most anticipated horror films this year is Dangerous Animals<\/strong>, the latest splash from Australian filmmaker Sean Byrne\u00a0<\/strong>(The Loved Ones,The Devil\u2019s Candy). Although the Jai Courtney<\/strong>-led thriller doesn\u2019t chomp into theaters until June 6th, Bloody Disgusting has the early ticket for those willing to wade in the film\u2019s shark-infested waters.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, May 29th,<\/strong> we\u2019re presenting special sneak screenings across the US. With the exception of Dallas and Houston, all screenings start at 7 PM local. Hassie Harrison<\/strong>\u00a0(\u201cYellowstone\u201d),\u00a0Jai Courtney<\/strong>\u00a0(The Suicide Squad) and\u00a0Josh Heuston<\/strong>\u00a0(\u201cHeartbreak High\u201d) lead the cast of Sean Byrne\u2019s shark movie\u00a0Dangerous Animals.<\/p>\n

Filmmaker Sean Byrne recently previewed his upcoming feature in\u00a0Bloody Disgusting\u2019s Summer Preview<\/a>, where he teased more about Courtney\u2019s unforgettable turn.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s how the spider catches the fly,\u201d\u00a0Byrne said<\/a>\u00a0of Tucker\u2019s disarming qualities. \u201cHe\u2019s got to be charismatic to get people on the boat, but then equally terrifying. But yet, still somehow capture the damaged child inside; and Jai and I spoke a lot about just the opportunity within horror. Villains can just own the stage in a way.<\/strong>\u00a0The way that\u00a0Kathy Bates<\/strong>\u00a0does in\u00a0Misery,\u00a0Christian Bale<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0American Psycho, and\u00a0Jack Nicholson<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0The Shining, and really having fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Byrne continued, \u201cBut it also has got to be a nuanced performance. I\u2019d always been a fan of Jai\u2019s, and just a really solid actor.\u00a0I had this feeling that there was this weird character actor inside him that wanted to explode, and I think it\u2019s my favorite performance of his. I mean, I\u2019m biased, but I really feel like it\u2019s one of those iconic villains.<\/strong>\u00a0And in a way, he does see himself as the shark.\u201d<\/p>\n
