Alexander Zverev has been on the ATP Tour for over a decade and has won 24 titles in his career.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Zverev<\/a> is yet to win a Grand Slam title, though, having made three finals at majors in the last five years.<\/p>\n

He\u2019ll continue his pursuit of achieving the feat at Roland Garros<\/a>, which he will be preparing for after exiting the Hamburg Open, where Zverev lost to Alexandre Muller<\/a> in the round of 16.<\/p>\n

The German dropped to number three in the world following the conclusion of the Italian Open, meaning Zverev enters the French Open as the third seed<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Still only 28, he has plenty of years left to fulfil his dream of winning a Grand Slam, and won\u2019t be thinking about retirement any time soon, but revealed what it would take for him to call it a day on his career.<\/p>\n

Speaking in an interview with Adidas, Zverev said: \u201cI always said that I don\u2019t do this for the money. I do not do this to have benefits outside the court.<\/p>\n

\u201cI actually play the sport because I really love it. I love to play it and I love to train.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know how much I like to train. The moment I stop enjoying it, I won\u2019t play any more.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will not continue playing just for other reasons. I will continue playing because I really want to.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Alexander Zverev says he always thought he was going to be good growing up<\/p>\n

When asked when he felt like he would become a good player, Zverev answered: \u201cAt a young age when you are a kid you kind of just dream of those things. You don\u2019t really have doubt in you. That only comes after. That comes with age, I feel like.<\/p>\n

\u201cI always thought I was going to be good, I always thought I was going to win tournaments. I never thought I am going to be top 100 or top 50. That was never my goal.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was never my thing that I wanted to achieve, my thing was that I want to be the best, and that\u2019s it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think there\u2019s one question mark I have, and that\u2019s winning a slam, but even that, I do feel, honestly, that I am closer than ever and my level is better than it ever was.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have got to be myself in those positions, in winning positions, and at some point it is going to come naturally, I think.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zverev made the final of Roland Garros last year, where he was ultimately defeated by Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> in the final. <\/p>\n
