The Deadpool star, 48, told The Box Office podcast <\/a>on Friday that he once pitched an R-rated Star Wars film to Disney, hoping to explore a grittier side of the famously PG-rated universe.<\/a><\/p>\n

‘I pitched to Disney, I said, “Why don\u2019t we do an R-rated Star Wars property? It doesn\u2019t have to be overt, A+ characters. There’s a wide range of characters you could use,”‘ Reynolds said.<\/p>\n

He added, ‘And I don\u2019t mean R-rated to be vulgar. R-rated as a Trojan horse for emotion. I always wonder why studios don\u2019t want to just gamble on something like that.’<\/p>\n

While Disney has expanded Star Wars through properties like The Mandalorian, Andor, and The Acolyte, none have ever gone beyond a TV-14 or PG-13 rating.<\/p>\n

The star plugged Lively’s, 37,\u00a0haircare brand, Blake Brown<\/a>, in an Instagram Story on Tuesday – just hours after Daily Mail published claims from staff she ran ‘toxic and insane’ workplace at her lifestyle company ‘Preserve’<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Preserve was established in 2014 and was meant to be Blake’s answer to\u00a0Gwyneth Paltrow<\/a>‘s ‘Goop’, but failed after\u00a0a year.<\/p>\n

The actor re-shared a post of the Gossip Girl star \u2014 who has been making headlines for her ugly lawsuit with It Ends With Us co-star Baldoni<\/a>, 41 \u2014 advertising her latest hair and body mist product.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sharing a link to the products, Reynolds wrote: ‘Body mist, you say?’<\/p>\n

The new launch comes amid her ongoing legal battle with Baldoni.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It began after she filed a lawsuit against him in December, accusing him of sexual harassment and creating a ‘hostile work environment on set.’<\/p>\n

Justin retaliated with his own $400 million filing against the actress, along with her husband, with the brutal melee now scheduled for a trial on March 29, 2026. All parties have denied the claims.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Ryan’s ex-wife Scarlett Johansson recently broke her silence on the legal drama.<\/a><\/p>\n

Baldoni’s production company Wayfarer Studios is co-financing Scarlett’s directorial debut Eleanor The Great.<\/p>\n

Johansson, 40, who was married to Reynolds from 2008 to 2011, officially released the film at the Cannes Film Festival on May 20.<\/p>\n

Johansson was asked about Baldoni during an interview with Vanity Fair, who noted she let ‘out a loud, knowing laugh’ at the mention of the Jane The Virgin star – a ‘standard reaction’ in light of ‘how public the feud has become’, the publication wrote.<\/p>\n

The Her actress has not yet met Baldoni as he was engrossed in the production of It Ends With Us, however she noted his company was ‘super supportive’ throughout the making of her movie.<\/p>\n
