Liverpool have one game remaining and a Premier League trophy to collect<\/a> this weekend as they face Crystal Palace<\/a> at Anfield. The Reds can continue their celebrations after winning the title and will finally be awarded the trophy on the final day of the season<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Arne Slot’s side have been champions for almost a month after a dominant 2024\/25<\/a> in the Dutchman’s debut season on Merseyside. Success has allowed players and coaching staff alike to already take trips to Dubai and Ibiza before the close of the season<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But the work will not have stopped. The club’s hierarchy will be at work in the transfer market ahead of a busy summer with Slot having made few changes to the squad he inherited almost 12 months ago.<\/p>\n

The futures of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mo Salah<\/a> and Virgil van Dijk dominated this season, and Ibrahima Konate’s contract could be next with his deal to expire in 2026<\/a>. There is a great deal of work to do.<\/p>\n

Barcelona<\/a> sporting director Deco has admitted his side are interested in Liverpool<\/a> winger Luis Diaz. The Colombia<\/a> international has been strongly linked with a move to La Liga<\/a> and has yet to agree new terms over his future with his current deal set to expire in June 2027.<\/p>\n

Diaz\u2019s father has previously said it would be a \u201cdream\u201d<\/a> for his son to join the Catalan giants, but the Reds’ ace has reaffirmed his happiness at Anfield after winning the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“We like Luis, we like Rashford, and we like other players,” Deco told Catalan radio station RAC 1. “Out of respect, talking about players who are under contract with other clubs is complicated. When we go to the market, there are names we know that could improve the team.”<\/p>\n

Slot has since offered a response the comments. \u201cDid Deco say this about Diaz in the microphone or is that from hearsay?\u201d Slot asked.<\/p>\n

“Yes, every club has his own way of doing things. I don\u2019t talk about players from other clubs.<\/p>\n

“I understand he is a big admirer of Lucho Diaz. I am a big admirer of him as well. He is a great player and had a great season. I admire Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.”<\/p>\n

Possible exit<\/p>\n

Liverpool midfielder Luca Stephenson has dropped a hint over his future after spending the season on loan with Dundee United. The 21-year-old enjoyed a positive stint in the Scottish Premiership as they qualified for Europe.<\/p>\n

Stephenson was one of the Reds young talents who travelled on pre-season tour with Arne Slot’s first team last summer and made four appearances in the United States. But it was decided the move to Scotland<\/a> was best for his development.<\/p>\n

Quizzed over a possible return to Dundee United Stephenson said: “Maybe, maybe.”<\/p>\n

“I can’t say too much on it yet,” he added. “I don’t know everything that’s going on. There’s going to be a lot of movement, a lot of talk over the summer, but we’ll see what happens.”<\/p>\n

Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has claimed Jeremie Frimpong will add a lot to the Reds should he complete a transfer this summer. The Reds have activated a \u00a329.5million buyout clause for the Bayer Leverkusen right-back as a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Frimpong, who can also play on the wing, is a former Manchester City<\/a> trainee. Gravenberch has played alongside Frimpong for the Netherlands side and is a fan.<\/p>\n

“If he does [join] then he will bring a lot,” said the 23-year-old Liverpool star. “I know him from the Dutch team, he\u2019s a really good guy, really good qualities. We will see, we have to wait.”<\/p>\n
