&#8211; a particularly fitting choice for a royal canine companion.<\/p>\n<p>The black cocker spaniel became part of the family shortly before William and Kate&#8217;s previous dog Lupo passed away in November 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Lupo, also a black cocker spaniel, had been given to the royal couple by James Middleton as a &#8220;belated wedding present&#8221;
