Pictured: The parade on May 24<\/p>\n<p>The thrum of drummers provided a rousing soundtrack for the parade, as well as singers and performers dressed up in rainbow carnival gear.<\/p>\n<p>The crowds were a mix of young and old, but all passionately taking the opportunity to march for equality and justice.<\/p>\n<p>Hits from iconic bands like ABBA filled the town centre walkways bringing a fun-filled atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>Across the weekend, revellers can expect performances from diverse artists within the community, a candlelit HIV memorial vigil, keynote speakers, community stalls, family-friendly activities and street food.<\/p>\n<p>More than 40,000 are expected to attend the festival site itself, which is in the heart of the LGBTQ+ village, where music stars will perform for the crowd, in a safe space, free of judgment.<\/p>\n<p>Clean Bandit, Vengaboys, Cascada and Bananarama are among the artists scheduled to play the main stage at the festival this year.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"caas-img caas-lazy has-preview\" alt=\"Birmingham Pride festival 2025 is chance for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies to come together and celebrate.
