Rudd, founded in 1698, is making the move amid growing American appetite for luxury British brands.<\/p>\n<p>What began centuries ago as a simple grocer on London\u2019s St James\u2019s Street, where it remains based till this day, has blossomed into a revered brand.<\/p>\n<p>The family-run company has also supplied Britain\u2019s royals since the reign of George III in 1760 &#8211; Rudd is set to open a new store in Washington D.C. <\/p>\n<p>Getty<\/p>\n<p>King Charles, then the Prince of Wales, marked the company\u2019s 300th anniversary in 1997 by awarding the company with its second Royal Warrant.<\/p>\n<p>The family-run company\u2019s 260 year-long patronage from the Royal Family has been woven into its identity and seen it expand across the globe.  <\/p>\n<p>Berry Brothers &amp; Rudd now have offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo alongside its London base. <\/p>\n<p>However, this latest move will be the beloved merchant&#8217;s first brick and mortar presence in the United States per The Telegraph. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"c5867\" data-rm-shortcode-id=\"13f8cc626f6a152b81881032193062cc\" data-rm-shortcode-name=\"rebelmouse-image\" class=\"rm-shortcode rm-lazyloadable-image \" lazy-loadable=\"true\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns='http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg'%20viewBox='0%200%202000%201500'%3E%3C\/svg%3E\" data-runner-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/1748094792_424_king-charles.jpg\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1500\" alt=\"King Charles\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The centuries also company has been supplying the British Royal Family since the time of George III.<\/p>\n<p>Getty<\/p>\n<p>They are hoping to capture a growing market in the US for quality British good, especially those with a prestigious pedigree, and are not the first to make the attempt. <\/p>\n<p>Department store Fortnum &amp; Mason, itself representing centuries of prestige since 1707, have been increasing their American presence to capitalise on growing demand for authentic British goods. <\/p>\n<p>1835 founded gunmaker and luxury clothing retailer Holland &amp; Holland have also noted a huge increase of trade in the US. <\/p>\n<p>In 2024, they recorded a jump from \u00a3425,000 to \u00a32.1m is sales, which they attributed to an influx of millionaires to Texas. <\/p>\n<p>The company, which has an establishment in Dallas, explained that: \u201cAffluent Americans love the English aristocracy, Royal Family and our links (with them).\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"ddeff\" data-rm-shortcode-id=\"6c6d85cc1bf8b31fde5636f0e6366002\" data-rm-shortcode-name=\"rebelmouse-image\" class=\"rm-shortcode rm-lazyloadable-image \" lazy-loadable=\"true\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns='http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg'%20viewBox='0%200%201245%20700'%3E%3C\/svg%3E\" data-runner-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/berry-brothers-rudd.jpg\" width=\"1245\" height=\"700\" alt=\"Berry Brothers &amp; Rudd\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Berry Brothers &amp; Rudd is hoping to capitalise on growing US interest in prestigious British brands.<\/p>\n<p>Getty<\/p>\n<p>They stressed that the storied royal connections were a\u201cvery romantic notion\u201d to discerning Americans of means.<\/p>\n<p>All three of these established companies hold multiple Royal Warrants, which functions as an official endorsement of the brand from the royal who awards it.  <\/p>\n<p>These are granted to businesses that supply goods or services to the Royal Household for five of the last seven years and demonstrate high standards in quality, service and sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>At present, there are around 800 warrant holders, ranging from artisan food producers and tailors to global tech firms.<\/p>\n<p>Since becoming Britain\u2019s monarch, King Charles and his wife Queen Camilla have continued the practice &#8211;
