Watching politicians debate scotch eggs, finding out (without wanting to) how Prince Harry lost his virginity, Just Stop Oil\u2019s tomato soup tantrums\u2026 so sometimes an event arises that makes you ask yourself: has this all taken a larger toll than we realised on our collective psyche? Are we, in fact, having some kind of national nervous breakdown?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The answer would appear to be a big, fat, pig-shaped yes, given the \u2018breaking news\u2019\u00a0announcement on ITV\u2019s\u00a0Good Morning Britain\u00a0this week that\u00a0Peppa Pig\u00a0matriarch Mummy Pig had given birth to her third piglet, Evie.<\/p>\n<p>Peppa Pig\u00a0is the hugely popular children\u2019s TV programme about preschooler pig Peppa, her little brother George and their pig family and animal friends. A British creation from animation studio Astley Baker Davies, it\u2019s been running for more than 20 years and is broadcast around the world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"We\u2019ve been through a lot as a nation over the past few years.
