A whopping 1,038 people have submitted comments on the plans via the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/bury\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Bury<\/a> Council website.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The plan is the first phase of a wider scheme that aims to build 1,250 homes in the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">More housing plans, new padel courts and town centre transformations have also been tabled with councils across the city-region.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Here is a breakdown of each borough\u2019s submitted planning applications this week<\/p>\n<p>Bolton<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/0_churchw4.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Commercial space is planned as well as more than 400 homes<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">Long-dormant riverside site to be transformed into \u00a3100M 12-block town centre community<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Long awaited plans to develop the Church Wharf site in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/bolton\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Bolton<\/a> town centre have been submitted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Manchester-based developer, Watson, has submitted the planning application to Bolton Council for 415 new homes. The four-phase development will also feature a 130-bedroom hotel, as well as commercial spaces for bars, restaurants and shops.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Watson said Church Wharf is designed to complement other ongoing residential developments in the area, including Moor Lane and <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/deansgate\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Deansgate<\/a> Gardens. The new homes will comprise a mixture of one, two and three-bedroom houses and apartments.
