Ruben Amorim will speak honestly from his “heart” when he makes a speech at Old Trafford<\/a> on Sunday.<\/p>\n Manchester United will take on Aston Villa on the final day of the Premier League<\/a> campaign and Amorim is set to address supporters with an end-of-season speech after full-time.<\/p>\n It has been a tradition for United managers to address fans with a speech on the final day of the season. Erik ten Hag promised to “bring the cup back to Old Trafford,” when he made his speech ahead of the FA Cup<\/a> final last season and Amorim will attempt to hit the right note after defeat in the Europa League<\/a> final.<\/p>\n How many supporters stay behind after full-time remains to be seen after an abysmal campaign, but Amorim will make a speech and the players will complete a lap of honour to applaud fans.<\/p>\n “We will do that, it’s tradition and we have to face it,” said Amorim about the planned lap of honour. “I think it will be the biggest mistake if we don’t do that. We will do that.<\/p>\n “I know that the manager addresses the public, I will do that because it’s the minimal, the least I can do is to talk with the fans and to say what I want to say. I will decide tomorrow, I have an idea, so we will do that because if there is a season that we need to do it, it’s this one, and of course we will be there.”<\/p>\n When asked whether he would apologise during his speech, Amorim said: “An apology I think is clear, an explanation? You don\u2019t have time. So we will try to be honest. I think I will be honest with the fans and I will say what is in my mind and what is in my heart.”<\/p>\n Regardless of it being the final game of the season, Amorim will name a strong team to try end strongly. “The squad is going to be the squad to win the game,” he said about his selection.<\/p>\n “There’s a fight and we are hurting by this season, but there’s still competition in this league for the Champions League<\/a>, and we have to respect the competition. We will be there with a strong team to win the game.”<\/p>\n Just days after facing Aston Villa, United will play post-season friendlies against SEAN All Stars in Kuala Lumpur and against Hong Kong. “Of course it’s really hard,” Amorim admitted.<\/p>\n “Everything especially after the final is really hard but we have a responsibility, we have to meet our fans. We are a global club.
