The city is set to welcome the ship back to her spiritual home for the first time since her spectacular naming ceremony at the Pier Head.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The return to the<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/liverpool-pier-head\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\" River MerseyLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> River Mersey<\/a> on Bank Holiday Monday, May 26, marks the start of global celebrations across the Cunard fleet to celebrate this year\u2019s 185th Anniversary of the line\u2019s first transatlantic crossing leaving Liverpool in 1840.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Her arrival is expected to attract huge crowds to vantage points on both sides of the river as Liverpool prepares to host the LFC<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/barclays-premier-league\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\" Premier LeagueLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> Premier League<\/a> Champions Parade later that day. These vantage points include Mersey Bar, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/formby\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Formby<\/a>, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/crosby\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Crosby<\/a>, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/new-brighton\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">New Brighton<\/a>, Seacombe and the Cruise Port.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Below are the expected timings:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"UnorderedList_unordered-list__gzblI\">\n<li class=\"sc-700e1ff3-0 ENBBt\">Mersey Bar: 9.15am<\/li>\n<li class=\"sc-700e1ff3-0 ENBBt\">Formby: 9.45am<\/li>\n<li class=\"sc-700e1ff3-0 ENBBt\">Crosby: 10.15am<\/li>\n<li class=\"sc-700e1ff3-0 ENBBt\">New Brighton: 10.45am<\/li>\n<li class=\"sc-700e1ff3-0 ENBBt\">Seacombe: 11am<\/li>\n<li class=\"sc-700e1ff3-0 ENBBt\">Cruise Port: 12pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The ship, dedicated to the city of Liverpool last June, will remain overnight. The following day, Tuesday, May 27, the Cunard will be honoured when HRH The Princess Royal makes a visit to the ship.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">After this, a Sea of Glamour photographic exhibition curated by photographer and film-maker Mary McCartney will open at the Royal Liver Building. The exhibition features 185 images charting the Cunard timeline and some of the many milestones in its unique maritime history and bond with the city of Liverpool.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The final image will be of the five Liverpool icons chosen to represent the city at the Queen Anne Naming. Mary McCartney said: \u201cCurating Sea of Glamour for Cunard has been such a brilliant project for me as a photographer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;To delve into 185 years of photographic history, I had the privilege of exploring not only Cunard\u2019s iconic legacy but also the real, heartfelt moments shared by its guests on board.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cAs I went through the archives and read the stories submitted by passengers from all corners of the world, I was struck by the strong sense of community and connection that Cunard has fostered over the years.
