{"id":131441,"date":"2025-05-25T19:46:12","date_gmt":"2025-05-25T19:46:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/131441\/"},"modified":"2025-05-25T19:46:12","modified_gmt":"2025-05-25T19:46:12","slug":"sheffield-united-set-to-move-for-qpr-defender-dunne","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/131441\/","title":{"rendered":"Sheffield United set to move for QPR defender Dunne"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sheffield United are expected to offer a contract to QPR defender Jimmy Dunne.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Blades tried in vain during the January transfer window to sign Dunne, whose Rangers contract expires this summer.<\/p>\n<p>West London Sport initially revealed Chris Wilder\u2019s interest in the Irishman and later revealed that offers had been rejected by Rangers.<\/p>\n<p>The two clubs were unable to agree a deal before the transfer deadline and Dunne therefore ended up seeing out the remainder of his contract at Loftus Road.<\/p>\n<p>United are facing another season in the Championship after losing to Sunderland in the play-off final.<\/p>\n<p>Manager Wilder has made it clear he regards Dunne, 27 as one of the second tier\u2019s best defenders.<\/p>\n<p>Dunne has made 152 league appearances for QPR since being signed from Burnley four years ago.<\/p>\n<p>He was recently voted Rangers\u2019 player of the season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Sheffield United are expected to offer a contract to QPR defender Jimmy Dunne.
