Merseyside Police have issued a second dispersal zone around Sefton Park where Radio 1’s Big Weekend is being held. The order was reintroduced around the festival site after an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour, police said.<\/p>\n
The order runs from 6.30pm today, Sunday, May 25 until midnight and includes the area outlined in the map below. It follows a previous order <\/a>which was imposed at 6pm on Saturday and ran until midnight.<\/p>\n As well as the park, the zone covers Aigburth<\/a> Road from Ampthill Road to Livingston Road North and Queens Drive from Aigburth Vale to Mossley Hill<\/a> Drive.<\/p>\n Surrounding streets such as Lark Lane and Greenbank Drive are also included. The Section 34 order, which is issued under the Anti-Social Behaviour & Policing Act 2014, gives officers and police community support traffic officers powers to direct people who are engaging in anti-social behaviour or are likely to become involved in such incidents away from the area.<\/p>\n If a person who was previously asked to leave the area returns, an offence would be committed under the order, which the individual may ultimately be arrested for.<\/p>\n The order also gives officers the power to seize any item that could be used for anti-social behaviour. Chief Inspector Iain Wyke said: “Antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated and we will continue to take action to ensure that those who commit it are dealt with appropriately.<\/p>\n \u201cWe know the vast number of people who have visited Sefton<\/a> Park over the weekend have behaved in an appropriate and respectful manner and we will not allow the actions of a small number of individuals to spoil their enjoyment or impact on people\u2019s perceptions of visiting Liverpool.<\/p>\n![\"The](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/0_SEFTON-PARK-DISPERSAL-MAP.jpg\")
