Sir Rod Stewart <\/a>has been spotted enjoying a meal in a Glasgow restaurant hours after watching his beloved side lose out on penalties in the Scottish Cup final.<\/p>\n

The 79-year-old rocker <\/a>was pictured at The Atlantic Bar and Brasserie in the city centre on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Despite the disappointing result for the Hoops at Hampden, the Maggie May singer<\/a> was said to be in good spirits as he posed for photos with fans and staff at the bar.<\/p>\n

According to our sister title, Glasgow Live<\/a>, the singer was “gracious and upbeat” as he took the time to chat with guests and raise a glass with fellow supporters.<\/p>\n

And he’s no stranger to The Atlantic or its sister venue The Anchor Line, where he’s known to be a regular for family occasions and can often be spotted <\/a>enjoying a pre or post-match meal or drink when in Glasgow.<\/p>\n

A staff member said: \u201cEven with the result, Rod was in great form. He told us earlier in the week he\u2019d be coming in after the game, and he stuck to his word. It was a real buzz<\/a> for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Atlantic is located in the former Anchor Line booking office, and is known for its art deco charm and French-inspired cuisine. The venue nods to the historic Atlantic Restaurant of 1938 and remains well-loved by locals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On the pitch, Sir Rod <\/a>would’ve been delighted when his side took the lead, when a Cameron Carter-Vickers header deflected off Aberdeen defender Alfie Dorrington and into his own net in the first half.<\/p>\n

However, the Dons <\/a>fought back and an own goal from Celtic keeper Kasper Schmeichel levelled the scoring, forcing the game into extra time.<\/p>\n
