Wellbeing, based at St John&#8217;s United Reform Church on Wilderspool Causeway, has been running weekly sessions since May 2024, and their popularity has steadily increased.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  To mark their first year, the group recently held two celebratory events.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Each event featured 30-minute workouts, followed by social gatherings with cake and coffee.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The neuro fitness initiative is expanding across the North West, encouraging more communities in Warrington and surrounding areas to maintain active lifestyles.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  It supports people with neurological conditions, including Parkinson&#8217;s, multiple sclerosis (MS), and stroke.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Being active is one of the best ways for people to live well with long-term health conditions.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>(Image: Supplied) Neuro fitness can contribute to better balance, coordination, and muscle strength, while also providing a fun and social way for people to enjoy an active lifestyle.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  John, who was diagnosed with Parkinson&#8217;s just over five years ago, regularly participates in the weekly Warrington neuro fitness classes.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Speaking about the group and being part of the anniversary celebrations, John said: &#8220;In the last 12 months, people have noticed my walking and posture have improved, my flexibility and core strength have vastly improved.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;I used to get dyskinesia in my shoulder which was a gut-aching pain, that\u2019s gone, which is a blessing.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;I really enjoy coming to these sessions, Zoe is a great teacher, and the workouts are always really fun and relaxed.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;I also find it gets me out of the house and means I can meet other people who are experiencing the same thing as me.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;I would definitely recommend the classes to anyone living locally who has Parkinson\u2019s, it\u2019s not just about being active as a group, it is also my chance to meet new people and enjoy the social benefits of being active with others.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Zoe Brown, an exercise specialist and neuro physio at Believe Health, Fitness &amp; Wellbeing, spoke about the growth of the Parkinson\u2019s classes.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  She said: &#8220;I am so proud of the dedication and progress of all our participants.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;The hard work they put into each and every class is reflected in the progress they continue to make, not only in the classes, but also in their day-to-day lives.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Everyone has become so close since we started the classes, with members meeting up for social events and even going for Christmas lunch together.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  For more information about the Believe Health, Fitness and Wellbeing classes or to book your place, contact Zoe Brown on 07423 252 231 or email classes@believehfw.co.uk.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Believe Health, Fitness &amp;
