A Cornwall town has been ranked among the top three most expensive British\u00a0coastal spots for 2025, according to a new report.<\/p>\n
Padstow was found to be the third most-expensive place, with it being behind only Sandbanks in Dorset and Salcombe in Devon.<\/p>\n
This was revealed as part of the\u00a0Lloyds Coastal Homes Review, which tracks house price movements in 197 coastal locations in Great Britain.<\/p>\n
The review is based on house price data from the Land Registry and Registers of Scotland.<\/p>\n
Amanda Bryden, Head of Mortgages, Lloyds<\/a>, said:\u00a0\u201cCoastal living continues to hold a special appeal \u2013 whether it\u2019s the lure of sea views, sandy beaches, or a slower pace of life.<\/p>\n “Our latest research shows the most exclusive seaside spots – like Sandbanks \u2013 still command premium prices.<\/p>\n \u201cIn some of the UK\u2019s most desirable coastal towns, average prices have dipped slightly over the past year.<\/p>\n “But, over the longer term, values remain significantly higher \u2013 especially in the South West, where demand from lifestyle movers continues to shape the market.”<\/p>\n Padstow among most expensive coastal spots in UK for 2025<\/p>\n Padstow’s average house price over the past year was found to be\u00a0\u00a3715,974.<\/p>\n In a statement, Lloyds said: “This foodie hotspot is famed for its harbour charm and seafood scene, with daily catches served up in award-winning restaurants.”<\/p>\n Much of the attraction about living in Padstow comes from its fine dining scene, thanks to the work of Rick Stein among others.<\/p>\n However, there is more to it than that, as the town is also known for its scenery.<\/p>\n
