Alex Moreno has hinted that Nottingham Forest will not take up their option to buy him from Aston Villa on a permanent basis this summer.<\/p>\n
The Villa <\/a>left-back joined Forest last summer on a season-long loan, which included a buy option.<\/p>\n He signed for Villa for \u00a313m in January 2023, so Forest\u2019s option to buy would have been substantially less than that figure.<\/p>\n Moreno\u2019s contract expires in 2026, and he will therefore enter the final 12 months of his deal shortly.<\/p>\n He has made only two appearances in Forest\u2019s last nine league games, and just four in their last 18.<\/p>\n On X (formerly Twitter), Moreno posted a message to Forest supporters following their defeat at home to Chelsea:<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019d like to take this moment to say goodbye to all the fans \u2013 a wonderful crowd who always deserve the very best.<\/p>\n “Thank you to my teammates and all the club staff who supported me every single day.<\/p>\n “I\u2019ll carry a piece of each of you in my heart.\u201d<\/p>\n How much is Moreno worth?
