Georgia Harry, 26, was described as a ‘very bubbly, outgoing and friendly’ person by her heartbroken mother who told how she ‘fought until the end’ after she was taken off life support<\/p>\n

A young woman has died almost a month after falling down the stairs of a city centre bar<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Georgia Harry, 26, was enjoying a night out with her pals<\/a> when she fell down the stairs in Liverpool’s Lost on Seel Street boozer in the early hours of Monday, March 17. She was rushed to The Walton Centre hospital<\/a> and placed on life support.<\/p>\n

Her heartbroken mother, Nicola Poolton, said <\/a>her daughter was taken off life support on April 8, but she “fought until the end” and stayed alive for five more days before she died on April 13 surrounded by her friends and family.<\/p>\n

A funeral service was held on May 7, with Georgia’s loved ones spilling out of St. Michael In The Hamlet Church to pay their respects and celebrate her life.<\/p>\n

Paying tribute to her daughter, Nicola, 44, told the Echo<\/a>: “She was very bubbly, outgoing and friendly with everyone. She was a hard-working girl who loved to have fun with her friends and going on holidays. She was so sociable.”<\/p>\n

Georgia lived with her mum and two dachshunds, Mabel and Maggie, in Aigburth, and worked at Liverpool Passport Office in the city centre. Nicola continued: “She loved reading and taking her dogs out for walks. She loved doing the pub quizzes too.”<\/p>\n

Speaking about the time Georgia spent in hospital, Nicola said: “She was in ICU at The Walton Centre. We were told on the night that they didn’t she would make it through the night.<\/p>\n

“But when we turned off life support she survived for five days. She was a fighter and she fought till the end. She was strong.”<\/p>\n

Nicola said her daughter died from a serious head injury. Merseyside Police confirmed in the days that followed the incident how a woman, Georgia, had fallen down the stairs in Lost at around 2.15am.<\/p>\n

Police issued an appeal for information, with detectives looking to speak to two men who may have witnessed the fall and could assist in their investigation following the incident.<\/p>\n

Nicola told the ECHO how police investigations have finished and a date for the inquest has been set for July this year.<\/p>\n
