Fire crews<\/a> have raced to a horror blaze at a popular chip shop in Edinburgh this evening.<\/p>\n Emergency services<\/a> were called to the Sultan Takeaway at Bughtlin Market in East Craigs after the alarm was raised shortly before 4.30pm on Monday.<\/p>\n The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service<\/a> quickly sent seven appliances to the scene. Pictures taken from the scene show firefighters battling the blaze.<\/p>\n The building can be seen to have been completely gutted by the inferno. It’s not currently clear if anyone has been injured as a result of the fire.<\/p>\n The road has been closed by police while emergency services deal with the incident. Locals are asked to avoid the area.<\/p>\n A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service<\/a> spokesperson said: “We were alerted to the fire at 4.27pm on Monday.
