Prince Harry<\/a> and Meghan Markle’s new change in staff structure is set to surround the couple with a “shield” of protection, it has been claimed. The royal duo stepped down as senior royals in 2020<\/a> and they have now revamped their team to echo the hierarchical system within Royal Family staffing.<\/p>\n

Harry and Meghan will each have their own chief of staff as part of the restructuring, shifting from a previous reliance on informal advisers – the move also suggests the couple’s continued ‘separation’ professionally.<\/a><\/p>\n

Editor at Large of the Mail on Sunday, Charlotte Griffith, told GB News<\/a> that the new structure provides a “shield of protection” around the duo.<\/p>\n

Ms Griffith said: “So apparently Harry has looked at the latest polls that put him down at 27 per cent, and he’s upset by it. A source really close to him told me that he’s realised there’s nowhere to go but up.”<\/p>\n

The expert added: “So what he’s done is he’s decided what hasn’t been working. And that’s the US, Hollywood<\/a> PR agents. Just anything Hollywood<\/a> and American basically hasn’t worked for him.”<\/p>\n

She further explained: “So what he’s done is he set up around himself the exact thing that he’s been railing against all these years, which is a really concrete, firm structure of a hierarchical, top-down kind of PR voices on his behalf and chiefs of staff. And it’s basically a royal house. This is like a faux royal household.”<\/p>\n

It has been further claimed that the new structure will prevent Harry from reading the British media as his staff are able to do this on behalf of him.<\/p>\n

“Meghan does not at all read the British tabloids<\/a>, she does not engage in British media whatsoever. And she’s shielded from that by this new household. And the point of the new household is this kind of shield around them that protects them.”<\/p>\n

It is also reported that Prince Harry<\/a> will launch his own commercial venture soon, and he has taken a back seat while Meghan launched her Netflix<\/a> show and podcast this 2025.<\/p>\n

Ms Griffith added: “He’s [Prince Harry<\/a>] got this new commercial social enterprise venture, and actually all this selling jam has been her time, and he’s been standing back to let her shine. And now he’s going to come forward, especially towards the end of the year, it’s going to be about him and what he’s selling.”<\/p>\n

The Daily Mail<\/a> reports that Meredith Kendall Maines, will be at the helm of a team of 11, operating out of Montecito<\/a>, California, and the UK. The new operation will be run separately to Archewell, the Sussexes’ original philanthropic foundation. Each senior appointee in the new household will reportedly earn<\/a> a staggering six-figure salary.<\/p>\n

Miranda Barbot, a veteran political and media adviser who helped re-elect US President Barack Obama in 2012<\/a>, will work just for Harry – she previously managed the trip the royal couple took to Nigeria.
