King Charles\u2019 sparks talk after keeping Kate Middleton from a major milestone<\/p>\n
King Charles\u2019 decision to postpone a major right for Kate Middleton has sparked a lot of conversation. <\/p>\n
The conversation happened on the A Right Royal podcast and featured royal author and Robert Jobson and Hello! magazine’s royal editor, Emily Nash.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere’s been a delay. There’s always a bit of a delay,\u201d was what Mr Jobson said in response to the postponing. <\/p>\n
For those unversed it all relates to the monarch\u2019s ability to grant royal warrants, and reports that it might be passed down to Kate Middleton as well.<\/p>\n
Warrants handed by the Royal Family \u201cpermits a company to use the Royal Arms in connection with its business,\u201d the official website says. <\/p>\n
Furthermore, it denotes favor, and serves as recognition directly from the royals. <\/p>\n
This led Mr Jobson to further say, \u201cRemember that we haven’t seen a transition in the Crown for some time, so we’ve had to deal with The King and The Queen first.\u201d<\/p>\n
So \u201cthat’s taken some time because they have to go through all sorts of stringent tests and I think that it will happen in due course, but it’s just that we’re going through The King and Queen first, and you don’t just get awarded a royal warrant, it’s a lot involved.\u201d<\/p>\n
It was near the end that Ms Nash, chimed in and echoed the significance of something like this because \u201cthere hasn’t been a Princess of Wales who’s been able to issue warrants for about a century, really.
