Manchester United fans have doubts over Andre Onana, and his predecessor David De Gea could be on the move this summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Manchester United<\/a> face a huge summer transfer window as Ruben Amorim<\/a> looks to bolster his squad at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

Attacking options are vital for Amorim and United are closing in on signing Matheus Cunha<\/a> from Wolverhampton Wanderers.<\/p>\n

Alejandro Garnacho has been told to leave United<\/a> and was left out of the squad to face Aston Villa on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Andre Onana was, intriguingly, left out as well in a decision which will spark questions about his future at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

Onana has struggled this season and United may need to find another goalkeeper just two years after moving on from David De Gea.<\/p>\n

United said goodbye to De Gea<\/a> in 2023, deciding not to extend the Spaniard\u2019s contract.<\/p>\n

Onana came in to replace De Gea, and the former Atletico Madrid man spent the entirety of the 2023-24 season without a club.<\/p>\n

Fiorentina signed De Gea last summer and he hasn\u2019t looked back, turning in a brilliant campaign in Serie A.<\/p>\n

De Gea may be 34 now, but he is still attracting admiring glances from other clubs as the summer transfer window kicks off.<\/p>\n

Fabrizio Romano now reports that Monaco are interested in signing De Gea, making him \u2018one of their desired targets\u2019.<\/p>\n

Fiorentina want to extend De Gea\u2019s contract and are ready to offer him a new deal until the summer of 2028.<\/p>\n

That deal would take De Gea towards 38, but he is really proving that he can still have a great career even after leaving United.<\/p>\n

Monaco have qualified for next season\u2019s Champions League, potentially offering De Gea a return to Europe\u2019s top competition.<\/p>\n

Being given the choice between Florence and Monte Carlo is a tough one, but that decision may well fall at De Gea\u2019s feet this summer after rejuvenating his career.<\/p>\n

Wayne Rooney unlikely to see his De Gea wish come true<\/strong><\/p>\n

United may be in the market for another goalkeeper or two this summer.<\/p>\n

Onana\u2019s future is unclear and Altay Bayindir is expected to leave United<\/a> in search of first-team chances elsewhere.<\/p>\n

A number of goalkeepers will be on United\u2019s radar, but we can\u2019t see De Gea being one of them \u2013 despite Wayne Rooney\u2019s appeals.<\/p>\n

Rooney wants United to re-sign De Gea<\/a> and believes that he would \u2018do a very good job\u2019 with a return to Manchester.<\/p>\n

We love seeing De Gea succeed and returning to the Champions League having spent a whole season in the wilderness would sum up his quality.<\/p>\n
