And <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/club\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chelsea<\/a> could be a good place to shop this summer.<\/p>\n<p>Exits are expected at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/club\/stadium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stamford Bridge<\/a>, with the likes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/ben-chilwell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ben Chilwell<\/a>, Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix all likely to depart.<\/p>\n<p>Former Aston Villa striker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/news\/get-out-gabriel-agbonlahor-names-two-players-chelsea-must-now-sell-after-sealing-top-four-finish\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gabriel Agbonlahor recently discussed Nkunku and Felix<\/a>, urging Chelsea to get rid of the two attackers after their lack of impact in west London.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/GettyImages-2165000246-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Photo by Darren Walsh\/Chelsea FC via Getty Images\" class=\"wp-image-260530\" \/>Photo by Darren Walsh\/Chelsea FC via Getty ImagesBrentford want to sign Ben Chilwell<\/p>\n<p>In the last summer transfer window, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/transfer-news\/brentford-made-a-late-attempt-to-sign-50m-chelsea-player-in-the-summer-window\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brentford were interested in signing Chilwell<\/a>, and it looks like they still have the defender on their radar.<\/p>\n<p>Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on <a href=\"https:\/\/siphillipstalkschelsea.substack.com\/p\/live-chelsea-news-blog-monday-96e?r=2sgv33&amp;utm_medium=ios&amp;triedRedirect=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Si Phillips Talks Chelsea<\/a> that the Bees are \u201clooking into a deal\u201d to sign Chilwell from their west London rivals.<\/p>\n<p>The left-back is surplus to requirements at Chelsea and spent the second half of the season at Crystal Palace, where he was able to win the FA Cup.<\/p>\n<tr>\n<td>Ben Chilwell\u2019s Crystal Palace stats<\/td>\n<td>Appearances<\/td>\n<td>Goals<\/td>\n<td>Assists<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Premier League<\/td>\n<td>8<\/td>\n<td>1<\/td>\n<td>0<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>FA Cup<\/td>\n<td>3<\/td>\n<td>0<\/td>\n<td>0<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Total<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>11<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>1<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>0<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<p>Chelsea bought Chilwell from Leicester City in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skysports.com\/football\/news\/11668\/12056806\/ben-chilwell-chelsea-complete-50m-signing-of-leicester-left-back-on-five-year-deal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">\u00a350m<\/a> deal and helped the Blues to get their hands on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/champions-league\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Champions League<\/a> trophy in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>However, since then, the 28-year-old has lost his place in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/club\/chelsea-squad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chelsea team<\/a> to Marc Cucurella. In the words of teammate Robert Sanchez, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/news\/unbelievable-this-year-robert-sanchez-claims-chelsea-pair-are-two-of-the-best-players-on-the-planet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cucurella has been \u201cunbelievable\u201d<\/a> this season, so there is zero chance of Chilwell winning back his spot.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"748\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/GettyImages-2176391749-1024x748.jpg\" alt=\"Photo by Visionhaus\/Getty Images\" class=\"wp-image-300430\" \/>Photo by Visionhaus\/Getty ImagesWhy Chelsea are unlikely to sign Milos Kerkez to address left-back dilemma<\/p>\n<p>With Chilwell unlikely to remain at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea may need to sign a new left-back.
