The Prince made the appearance on Monday as part of his role as co-founder of Travalyst, an organisation promoting environmentally friendly travel.<\/p>\n

During his address to the Envision 2025 Global Partner Conference today, Harry told the travel industry it needed to do more to hit its climate change targets before 2030.<\/p>\n

To limit global warming to 1.5\u00b0C, greenhouse gas emissions must peak before 2025 at the latest and\u00a0decline 43% by the end of the decade.<\/p>\n

He added that the Asia-Pacific<\/a> region is “strongly positioned to do this”.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the conference, he said: “Climate change isn\u2019t just an environmental challenge \u2013 it\u2019s a critical business emergency, costing the global economy $143 billion dollars annually.<\/p>\n

“Now is the moment for the industry to reaffirm its commitment to being a force for good. <\/p>\n

“Challenges will undoubtedly rise, but if there\u2019s one thing I\u2019ve learned in my life, it\u2019s that meaningful change never comes easily. <\/p>\n

“The true measure of our commitment is how we respond when the path becomes difficult. <\/p>\n

“We must never give up.”<\/p>\n

Harry\u2019s trip to China<\/a>, which was kept under wraps until his surprise appearance in Shanghai, is the first time the Duke has visited the country. <\/p>\n

King Charles lands in Canada for landmark state visit<\/p>\n

His brother, Prince William<\/a>, made a similar diplomatic trip to China in 2015 \u2014 the first official royal visit in three decades.<\/p>\n

The Duke\u2019s Shanghai schedule also included hosting Travalyst\u2019s first-ever two-day Executive Summit, gathering industry leaders and policymakers from across the region to hammer out practical solutions for greener tourism. <\/p>\n

It marks the beginning of a global series aimed at turning pledges into action.<\/p>\n

As Harry took to the stage in Shanghai, King Charles<\/a> touched down in Canada also on Monday with Queen Camilla<\/a> to attend The State Opening of the\u00a0Parliament\u00a0in Ottawa.<\/p>\n

It marks the first time the monarch has done so since Queen Elizabeth in 1977.<\/p>\n

In March, the King held a meeting with then-Canadian PM\u00a0Justin Trudeau<\/a>, after the\u00a0Commonwealth\u00a0leader faced pressure from the US.<\/p>\n

Charles and Camilla were welcomed in Ottawa with cries of \u201cwelcome home\u201d as they stepped off their RAF flight from the UK. <\/p>\n

Their whirlwind two-day trip to Canada has been hailed as \u201cmomentous\u201d \u2014 seen as a bold show of solidarity with the country as it locks horns with Donald Trump<\/a> over sovereignty.<\/p>\n

Harry’s solo trip to China marks his first time in the country<\/p>\n

Charles was previously reported to be\u00a0“concerned” about the growing discord<\/a>\u00a0between the US and Canada.<\/p>\n

The King and Queen were met at Ottawa\u2019s airport by new Prime Minister Mark Carney<\/a>, who swept to power following outrage over Trump calling Canada \u201cAmerica\u2019s 51st state.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carney called the royal visit \u201ca reminder of the bond between Canada and the Crown\u2026 shaped by shared histories, and grounded in common values.\u201d<\/p>\n

Charles, on his 20th visit to Canada, took time to meet crowds under the hot midday sun, hearing thanks and cheers from the public. <\/p>\n

The King, who is head of state for Canada, is also expected to meet with Indigenous leaders and veterans during the trip, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen ties and support reconciliation efforts.<\/p>\n
