Morgan Rogers<\/a> admits there was no better club to join than Aston Villa<\/a> to become the player he is today.<\/p>\n The 22-year-old has enjoyed a rapid rise<\/a> at Villa since joining from Middlesbrough<\/a> in January 2024, in a deal worth an initial \u00a38m, rising to \u00a315m with add-ons.<\/p>\n After a bright end to last season, Rogers has registered 25 goal contributions in 45 appearances across all competitions this term.<\/p>\n He earned his first call-up to the England national team in November, before being named in Thomas Tuchel\u2019s first Three Lions squad last month.<\/p>\n \u201cThe season\u2019s gone well for me personally, but it\u2019s not done now,\u201d Rogers said on Villa TV<\/a>. \u201cThe business end games that we\u2019ve got left, it\u2019s important for me to show my form into this stage and not just stop now.<\/p>\n \u201cThese are the big games that can define our season and whether it becomes a good or a great season. It\u2019s about finishing it off now and then in the summer I can look back at my season.<\/p>\n \u201cNow\u2019s not the time to do so, it\u2019s just to keep focused and keep pushing that final bit just to get where we want to get to and try get our objectives.\u201d<\/p>\n Asked about the key to his form, Rogers said: \u201cI just think confidence, playing with freedom, playing with a smile on my face, enjoying my football. Sometimes, it\u2019s as simple as that.<\/p>\n \u201cWe don\u2019t need to be too complicated about it, it\u2019s just about showing how good you are and showing your qualities in the team and enjoying the game.<\/p>\n \u201cEspecially for someone like me, if I\u2019ve got a smile on my face and I\u2019m happy, that\u2019s when I\u2019m at my best, and I\u2019m like that here.<\/p>\n \u201cI love the staff, I love the players that I play with, so it makes it more enjoyable.<\/p>\n \u201cThere was not a better club to come into than this.
