This comes as the circuit is looking to maintain its place in the F1 calendar from beyond the 2026 season.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is an honour and a privilege, and I am very happy to be an ambassador for Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, which is so special to me and to all Spanish fans, and which has given us so much joy,&#8221; Alonso said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was necessary for the circuit to take this step in order to have a solid future and adapt to the current demands and standards of F1 and circuits in other countries. This has brought it up to level ten, with a promising future.
