Viktor Gyokeres’ girlfriend, Ines Aguiar, has vowed to try and convince the striker to stay at Sporting CP this summer amid rumours of a big-money move to Arsenal<\/p>\n

Viktor Gyokeres’ actress girlfriend has vowed to sway the forward into sticking with Sporting CP<\/a> come the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

This pledge comes amidst swirling rumours that Arsenal chiefs jetted off to Lisbon last weekend<\/a>, eager to advance their pursuit of the 26 year old hotshot.<\/p>\n

Gyokeres played the hero in Sunday’s Taca de Portugal final <\/a>against Benfica, earning and slotting home a pivotal penalty to drag the match into extra-time, where Sporting triumphed over their arch-rivals 3-1.<\/p>\n

The Swedish international’s other half, Ines Aguiar, was clocked cheering from the stands, donning a Sporting strip. Ines found herself engulfed by supporters at one point, bombarded with queries about Gyokeres’ prospects.<\/p>\n

Portuguese publication A Bola reported that the social media starlet assured in a widely shared clip that she “promises” to coax her celeb beau into committing to a third season with the squad.<\/p>\n

Yet, Correio da Manha on Tuesday disclosed that Arsenal<\/a> had simultaneously dispatched envoys to Lisbon for meetinfs with Gyokeres’ representative regarding a potential transfer.<\/p>\n

The report states Gunners laid out an offer to the Portuguese title-holders valued at \u20ac70million (\u00a358.66m), while dangling a five-year deal before the striker worth \u20ac7m (\u00a35.87m) annually, plus a hefty signing bonus of \u20ac12m (\u00a310.06m), reports the Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Arsenal are reportedly hot on the heels of goal machine Gyokeres as they aim to bolster their strike force following a season where Mikel Arteta’s squad was left wanting for goals.<\/p>\n

While other sharpshooters like Benjamin Sesko have been linked with the Gunners, it’s believed that new sporting director Andrea Berta has his sights set firmly on snapping up Gyokeres.<\/p>\n

The ex-Coventry City and Brighton ace played it cool when Portuguese paper A Bola tried to fish out his summer transfer intentions by asking him to pick between London and Lisbon.<\/p>\n

His reply: “I prefer Lisbon because I live here now.
