{"id":136426,"date":"2025-05-27T17:06:12","date_gmt":"2025-05-27T17:06:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/136426\/"},"modified":"2025-05-27T17:06:12","modified_gmt":"2025-05-27T17:06:12","slug":"harry-potter-series-announces-actors-to-play-harry-ron-and-hermione","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/136426\/","title":{"rendered":"Harry Potter series announces actors to play Harry, Ron and Hermione"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The new HBO Harry Potter series has revealed which actors will play Harry, Ron and Hermione<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Dominic McLaughlin will play the protagonist Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton will be Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout will portray Ron Weasley.<\/p>\n<p>Each season of the show will be an faithful adaptation of the books from author and executive producer JK Rowling.<\/p>\n<p>A casting call, announced in September, saw around 32,000 children audition for the lead roles, with the team reviewing up to 1,000 tapes per day, according to HBO.<\/p>\n<p>The three children are \u201cnewcomers\u201d, according to HBO, while Arabella\u2019s agent says in her acting CV that she is based in London and has been in musical productions including Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber\u2019s Starlight Express and the Royal Shakespeare Company\u2019s Matilda The Musical.<\/p>\n<p>Production company SC Films confirmed that Dominic recently filmed the Sky family comedy film Grow.<\/p>\n<p>Alastair\u2019s agent has listed him as appearing in Albert Bartlett\u2019s Jersey Royal potato advertising campaign and having a \u201cnorthern\u201d accent.<\/p>\n<p>It was previously stipulated that the three young child actors must be residents of the UK or Ireland, and aged between nine and 11 on April 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The Harry Potter novels had already been made into movies with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint playing the trio.<\/p>\n<p>Executive producers Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod said: \u201cAfter an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione, and Ron.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned.
