Wrexham and Birmingham City have become rivals over the last 12 months thanks to their owners.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wrexham<\/a> and Birmingham City were both promoted out of League One in 2024\/25, finishing second on 92 points and first on 111.<\/p>\n

Now, likely to the delight of their owners and the media looking to push the American angle, the duo are set to face off in the Championship<\/a> later this year.<\/p>\n

Blues owner Tom Wagner has praised Wrexham<\/a> this month, amid much social media activity around Tom Brady\u2019s gift to Rob McElhenney<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ryan Reynolds expressed his love for Brady<\/a> as well, while former Birmingham player Troy Deeney questioned Wrexham in the Championship<\/a>, suggesting the Midlands outfit will fare better.<\/p>\n

For the most part, Wrexham and Birmingham\u2019s rivalry has been friendly, but there is another team in the Championship with which the club could be a lot more hostile.<\/p>\n

That side is Charlton Athletic and their outspoken manager, Nathan Jones.<\/p>\n

Charlton have won promotion to the second tier alongside Wrexham after they beat Leyton Orient in the play-off final.<\/p>\n

The Addicks and the Dragons are not long-time rivals, but it\u2019s hard to see anyone at the club or the fans forgetting what Jones said about Wrexham during 2024\/25.<\/p>\n

The Welsh side won promotion on April 26 after beating Charlton 3-0 at the Racecourse Ground.<\/p>\n

Prior to that meeting, Jones called Wrexham a circus<\/a>, saying: \u201cWe\u2019ll finish, we\u2019ll debrief, we\u2019ll breathe a little bit and then we\u2019ll move forward with Wrexham. It\u2019s a bumper game, we have to go to the circus and see what we can get.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was a comment that massively backfired and seemingly garnered the ire of players, with Parkinson using Jones\u2019 comments in team talks prior to the meeting, as Dan Scarr shared.<\/p>\n
