{"id":13693,"date":"2025-04-12T12:09:07","date_gmt":"2025-04-12T12:09:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/13693\/"},"modified":"2025-04-12T12:09:07","modified_gmt":"2025-04-12T12:09:07","slug":"southern-california-based-expert-dojo-to-invest-15-million-in-indian-startups-in-fy26-know-the-details","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/13693\/","title":{"rendered":"Southern California-based Expert Dojo to invest $15 million in Indian startups in FY26; know the details"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Early\u2011stage venture capital firm Expert\u202fDojo has launched an India\u2011focused plan to invest $15\u202fmillion in domestic startups in FY26, the first slice of a new $100\u202fmillion third global fund.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement was made during the Expert Dojo Investors Conclave 2025 in Bengaluru, underscoring the firm&#8217;s growing appetite for India&#8217;s burgeoning startup ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>Investing in 20-25 early-stage startups<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2018, the Southern California accelerator said the money will back 20 to 25 young\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/indianstartupnews.com\/tag\/startups\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">startups<\/a> in sectors such as SaaS, fintech, B2B, and artificial intelligence (AI). While sector-agnostic, the fund will focus on ventures with global scalability.<\/p>\n<p>The firm has already invested in more than 300 American startups and more than 30 Indian startups, including Bhive, Cloudworx and Doqfy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Having previously invested in over 300+ startups globally, we are now setting our sights on replicating that success with our India-focused fund,&#8221; said Brian Mac Mahon, Founder and Managing Partner of Expert Dojo.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This fund connects global investors to India&#8217;s growth story. For founders, we bring three things: capital, experience, and a network that opens doors. By building strong partnerships, we want to help Indian startups grow and compete internationally,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Cheques from $50,000 to $1\u202fmillion<\/p>\n<p>Under the new program, Indian founders can seek investments ranging from $50,000 to $1\u202fmillion, along with mentoring and access to the go-to-market network.<\/p>\n<p>Over the following two to three years, Expert\u202fDojo aims to commit another $30\u202fmillion to Indian startups, taking its total planned exposure to $45\u202fmillion.<\/p>\n<p>Opens office in Bengaluru<\/p>\n<p>The firm has opened an office in <a href=\"https:\/\/indianstartupnews.com\/tag\/bengaluru\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bengaluru<\/a> to handle scouting, founder support and partnerships. Ashutosh\u202fKumar\u202fJha, general partner for India, said the fund is designed to fix gaps in cross\u2011border capital, mentorship and go\u2011to\u2011market strategy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;India&#8217;s entrepreneurial talent pool is unmatched. However, challenges remain, especially in cross-border capital access, international mentorship, and go-to-market expansion. This fund is structured to bridge these exact gaps,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re building more than a portfolio \u2014 we&#8217;re building an India-US innovation corridor that opens doors for Indian startups to scale globally.
