\n An interior designer from Bolton-le-Sands has made the final of a BBC1 show.\n <\/p>\n

Rita Millat will feature in the final of Interior Design Masters, with a life-changing prize of a contract with a UK retailer up for grabs.<\/p>\n

42-year-old Rita, who is a visual merchandising consultant, said she applied for the show that anyone can make a career change.<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2019My main motivation was my love for interior design and the power it has in transforming people\u2019s lives, said Rita.<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2019Also, to prove to myself and other woman that we can change our careers at any time even in our 40s. I loved the show anyway as I was a big fan of it and my dream was that one day I would take part in it.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

Interior Design Masters is hosted by Alan Carr and interiors guru Michelle Ogundehin, with talented but novice designers looking for their big break in the world of commercial interior design. <\/p>\n

Over eight weeks they compete to win a life-changing collaboration contract with a UK retailer to produce their own line of homewares.<\/p>\n

Rita won the stand out space in the first episode for designing a bedroom at a Lake District youth hostel, where Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen was among the judges.<\/p>\n
