Actress Lim Sung Eon<\/strong> (age 41)\u2019s husband, Lee Chang Sub<\/strong> (age 55), chairman of Seokjeong Urban Development, has strongly denied allegations that he is a fraud and expressed his frustration.<\/p>\n According to a report by The Fact<\/strong> on May 27, Chairman Lee Chang Sub\u00a0responded to the controversy surrounding him by stating, \u201cThis is a baseless and slanderous attack using specific media outlets by business partners with conflicting interests. It is a fabricated and malicious invasion of privacy.\u201d<\/p>\n Previously, Dispatch<\/strong> reported that Lee Chang Sub\u00a0has three prior convictions for fraud and that in 2007, he deceived investors in Daejeon by falsely claiming that a commercial property sale had been completed. The report also claimed that he exploited the regional housing cooperative business model in six areas, including Osan in Gyeonggi Province and Osong in North Chungcheong Province, and was sued for over 10 billion KRW (7.3 million USD)\u00a0in two of those areas.<\/p>\n In response, Lee Chang Sub stated, \u201cAside from the fact that I\u2019ve been previously married and have a criminal record, everything else is false.\u201d He continued, \u201cSince I’m in the real estate business, legal disputes with counterparts are frequent, and I unintentionally ended up with a conviction for violating the Housing Act. I have never committed theft or any disgraceful acts.\u201d<\/p>\n He added, \u201cAs the general chairman of seven corporations, if even a single issue arises, I am in a position where I must take full responsibility. Look at the world we live in, there is no structure where I could misappropriate even a single KRW.\u201d He criticized the reports, saying, \u201cThey maliciously portray me as if I committed investment fraud using housing cooperatives as bait.\u201d<\/p>\n He also emphasized, \u201cMy wife is even more shocked and upset than I am about the current situation. I fully explained my previous divorce.\u201d He said, \u201cUsing the fact that my wife is a celebrity to damage her image is unforgivable.\u201d<\/p>\n Additionally, he denied rumors of a travel ban, saying, \u201cWe both had busy schedules and only made a short trip to Jeju.
