News<\/a><\/p>\nThere\u2019ll be more lights, camera, action in York \u2013 as another film crew hits the city.<\/p>\n
Comedy movie Blueberry Inn is set to shoot scenes in the city centre this weekend.<\/p>\n
According to a City of York Council traffic notice, the filming will take place near the junction of Walmgate, Fossgate and Merchantgate on Saturday (31 May).<\/p>\n
Between 5am and 6pm, parking, waiting and loading will be suspended at the junction due to the filming.<\/p>\n
Blueberry Inn has already been shooting scenes at Castle Howard.<\/p>\n
It stars some famous faces. Jack Davenport, known for his roles in This Life and Pirates Of The Caribbean, plays an emotionally stunted butler who is given broken-down pub by the lord he worked for.<\/p>\n
Blueberry Inn also stars Sophia Di Martino, known for her roles in TV comedies Flowers, Friday Night Dinner and Lena Dunham\u2019s forthcoming series Too Much.<\/p>\n
Michael Maloney, of The Crown, plays Lord Arlington. Others in the cast include Chloe Lea (Dune: Prophecy), Alexander Arnold (Skins), Florence Hall (The Princess Switch), Jonathan Oldfield (Andor) and Ace Bhatti (EastEnders).<\/p>\n
The comedy, written and directed by Sonia Guggenheim (The Mad Whale), is described as \u201ca social satire that pokes fun at class, capitalism, and our tragic misunderstanding of pigs\u201d.<\/p>\n
As part of the filming at Castle Howard, producers have made a commitment of support to the estate\u2019s Bog Hall habitat restoration project.<\/p>\n

It is a Dancing Fox Entertainment and Fever Dream Studios production.<\/p>\n
York is becoming increasingly popular as a screen location.
