Two teenagers were wounded in the incident<\/p>\n

Police have issued an update after two teenagers were seriously hurt in a double stabbing in Manchester.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called out to Stockport<\/a> Road, in Ardwick<\/a>, at around 5pm on Saturday evening (May 24).<\/p>\n

Officers found an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy had both suffered stab wounds.<\/p>\n

It’s understood that at least one of the injured teens walked into a nearby hair salon to seek help.<\/p>\n

Witnesses saw an air ambulance landing between Polygon Avenue and Lauderdale Crescent, while a large cordon was put in place around Stockport Road.<\/p>\n

Six people were arrested on suspicion of affray<\/a> in connection with the incident.<\/p>\n

Three men were initially arrested before Greater Manchester Police<\/a> announced extra stop-and-search powers for the area on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n

A fourth man was then arrested outside a salon on the coroner of Polygon Avenue, before police confirmed yesterday that two more suspects – a man and a woman – had since been arrested.<\/p>\n

In an update issued this morning (May 28), GMP confirmed that all six suspects have now been bailed pending further enquiries.<\/p>\n

Forensic officers were seen taking photos inside the salon on Polygon Avenue, where a woman had been heard telling others: “There’s blood on my floor.”<\/p>\n

GMP said a ‘large sheath’ had been handed over to officers by a member of the public on Lauderdale Crescent.<\/p>\n

Residents living nearby told the M.E.N. that police had been patrolling the area more than usual over the last few weeks.<\/p>\n

GMP said extra officers and patrols would remain in the area to provide a high visibility presence and offer community reassurance.<\/p>\n
