Having created the beautiful floral displays for Prince Harry<\/a> and Meghan Markle\u2019s wedding reception, Willow Crossley should be enjoying her worldwide fame.<\/p>\n

Instead, the society florist has revealed that she is turning her back on weddings altogether \u2013 and she appears to blame pushy brides.<\/p>\n

\u2018I started out doing quite a lot of weddings and they\u2019re very emotional,\u2019 she explains.<\/p>\n

\u2018Also, with a wedding, you have to rein it in a bit and you have to do what the bride wants. You have to stick to the bride\u2019s vision. So now I do fewer weddings.\u2019<\/p>\n

Willow, 42, whose romantic, foraged style has graced the smartest events from royal parties to society soirees, recalls<\/a> one disastrous meeting: \u2018I remember sitting with a bride and groom, and this man said, \u201cI really don\u2019t know why you\u2019re here. I hate flowers.\u201d And his poor wife-to-be was crying next to him, saying, \u201cI love flowers \u2013 they\u2019re my best bit.\u201d\u2019<\/p>\n

They were the only members of the Royal Family to issue a Press release about their floral tribute, leading to criticism.<\/p>\n

Willow says she\u2019s now focusing on what she loves most, telling The Chromologist podcast, \u2018big installations and growing my shop \u2013 and maybe working on a festival\u2019.<\/p>\n
