These technologies, known collectively as extended reality (XR), either completely immerse the user in a digital world or add virtual elements to the real world. Google is working with Samsung on a new headset in this category: a device still in internal development, often referred to as Project Moohan.

This secret project seems to be taking shape. A benchmark spotted online by the leaker @yabhishekhd reveals specific technical data. The tested model corresponds to this XR headset, and it is said to be equipped with a Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip. This latest-generation processor is designed for extended reality devices and had already been rumored for this product. Its presence reinforces the idea that Google is aiming for a high-end product with advanced capabilities that will directly compete with Apple’s Vision Pro.

Google and Samsung Rely on Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 Chip for Their Future XR Headset

The Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip was designed for this type of immersive device. It allows for displaying augmented reality images in color, supports low-latency Wi-Fi 7, and incorporates stabilization features like Space Warp, useful for preventing motion sickness. According to the data found, the headset would also include 16GB of RAM and run on a specially adapted version of Android 14 for extended reality. This configuration would enable the display of responsive digital elements, either overlaid on the real world or in a completely virtual environment.

Journalists were able to try a prototype at the Google I/O 2025 conference. One of the most notable features is the integration of the Gemini artificial intelligence. The system can analyze the environment and display contextual information in real-time. During a demonstration, the headset recognized a tree and immediately presented data on the observed species. Google and Samsung are working on a versatile device that combines virtual and augmented reality. Its release is expected in the second half of 2025, along with other similar Android headsets.

Samsung’s XR Project Moohan SM-I610 spotted on Geekbench with Adreno 740 GPU.

Specifications

6-cores at 2.36GHz

Adreno 740 GPU (The Adreno 740 GPU is integrated with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but here it appears to be part of a different chipset/SoC.)

Android 14

-… pic.twitter.com/yfnxH45zRm

— Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) May 27, 2025

Similar Posts

Find and win

A treasure is hidden in this article! Share it to start the game and try to uncover the secret word.
The first 10 people to submit it via the form that appears after you share will win a surprise prize!
Good luck

The Mysterious Google Mixed Reality Headset Resurfaces with Revealing Technical Leak For several months, tech giants have been…

[3162
53,16,15,3243,3244
0":"post-138892","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-virtual-reality","8":"tag-technology","9":"tag-uk","10":"tag-united-kingdom","11":"tag-virtual-reality","12":"tag-vr
["GET
