Looking back, Sophie Winkleman<\/a> would change a few things about her wedding day style.\n<\/p>\n The British actress, 44, married into the royal family in 2009 when she wed\u00a0Lord Frederick Windsor, the son of Prince Michael of Kent, Queen Elizabeth<\/a>‘s first cousin. However, she wasn’t very focused on her nuptials at the time.\n<\/p>\n “It was such a blur because we had to move to Los Angeles the day after [the wedding], and I had to start a brand new job the day after that,” Lady Frederick Windsor said in a new interview with The Telegraph<\/a>, published on May 27. “So we got married on Saturday and moved everything, our whole lives, out to America the day after. And I\u2019d been so concentrating on the work that I hadn\u2019t thought about the wedding.”\n<\/p>\n “Which meant that my hair was so disgusting, and Freddie still gets upset about it,” she added. “It was just disgusting.”\n<\/p>\n John Stillwell\/PA Images via Getty<\/p>\n Sophie added that her mother-in-law, Princess Michael of Kent, chose her bridal gown, “which was very sweet and puffy, but I looked barking.”\n<\/p>\n “She sort of took it all over, and I actually didn\u2019t mind at all. I thought, \u2018Great, do everything,’ ” she recalled. “I was concentrating on this acting job and saying goodbye to my darling granny, who wasn\u2019t very well, and just doing other stuff. But now I look back on it and think I should have worn a simpler dress, and I should have got my hair blow-dried by someone who\u2019d done it before.”\n<\/p>\n But Sophie, whose acting credits include Peep Show and\u00a0Two and a Half Men, is a fan of her husband’s side of the family.\n<\/p>\n \u201cFamily isn\u2019t always brilliant, but this lot are very sweet. They added another daughter, Isabella, in 2016 after moving back to the U.K. The family of four regularly joins the British royal family at events, including Kate Middleton<\/a>‘s annual Christmas carol concert<\/a> in December.\n<\/p>\n But as a mom, Sophie is concerned about screen use, especially in the classroom. She revealed that her children’s schools “gave them iPads without telling me.”\n<\/p>\n “So they\u2019re on screen for a lot of the day. They come home, they open up the damn thing again, and they\u2019re on screen for two hours doing homework,” she said. “And it\u2019s such a physically unhealthy way to learn. It\u2019s so bad for their eyesight, it\u2019s bad for their posture, it\u2019s bad for their sleep rhythms.
