Former Manchester United and England midfielder Paul Scholes paused before he picked a highly rated World Cup winner for his star-studded ultimate XI of players.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Paul Scholes<\/a> had a sensational impact in the Premier League and the 50-year-old TNT Sports pundit is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders of all time.<\/p>\n

The Manchester United legend<\/a> made a whopping 716 senior appearances for the Red Devils and Scholes netted 155 times and registered 82 assists for the club.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Scholes rose through the ranks of the United youth academy<\/a> in the 1990s and became a linchpin midfield influence for former manager Sir Alex Ferguson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One of United\u2019s famed \u2018Class of \u201892\u2019 stars<\/a>, Scholes broke into the United first team<\/a> and enjoyed incredible silverware success during his time at Old Trafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Scholes spent his entire club playing career under Sir Alex Ferguson<\/a> and he lifted 11 Premier Leagues, two Champions Leagues, three FA Cups and two League Cups.<\/p>\n

Speaking to The Daily Mail, Paul Scholes was caught by surprise when he was asked to build an ultimate XI with legendary players, both past and present, in football.<\/p>\n

The footballer-turned-pundit put fellow United legend Peter Schmeichel<\/a> between the sticks and fellow Class of \u201992 star Gary Neville<\/a> out at right-back in his team.<\/p>\n

Scholes provided cover for Peter Schmeichel with two of his ex-United teammates as his centre-back pairing, with Rio Ferdinand<\/a> and Jaap Stam<\/a> getting the nod in the XI.<\/p>\n

While Gary Neville was stationed out at right-back in his star-studded team, Scholes picked out Brazil legend Roberto Carlos for the left flank of his four-man backline.<\/p>\n

Man Utd legend Paul Scholes\u2019 telling response for Zinedine Zidane when constructing his midfield and forward line<\/strong><\/p>\n

Moving into the midfield and Scholes was asked in the TikTok clip to name a right-sided midfielder, with the United legend pausing before picking Zinedine Zidane<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight midfield? I\u2019ll put Zidane there,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Scholes has waxed lyrical about Zinedine Zidane<\/a> in the past and the former Real Madrid manager is widely regarded as one of the best players of all time.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Following the addition of Zidane, Scholes selected a midfield partnership of Los Blancos skipper Luka Modric alongside former Real Madrid star Toni Kroos.<\/p>\n

Scholes put Ronaldinho out on the left side of midfield before he selected his forwards to be United legend Cristiano Ronaldo<\/a> and Barcelona icon Lionel Messi<\/a>.<\/p>\n
