A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder<\/a> following the death of a man in Gloucester<\/a> this morning (Wednesday, May 28). Emergency services were called at around 7.40am following reports a number of people had been stabbed at an address on Bedford Street.<\/p>\n Three men were taken to hospital to be treated for injuries but sadly, despite the best efforts of first responders, one of the men died at around midday. While formal identification has not yet taken place, police believe they know who the man is and his family are being made aware.<\/p>\n A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said: “Our thoughts remain with them at this extremely difficult time.<\/p>\n “A murder investigation has now been launched by the Major Crime Investigation Team and a forensic post mortem examination will take place in due course. Two men remain in hospital however their injuries are not deemed to be life-threatening.<\/p>\n “The suspect, a man aged in his 30s, was arrested by armed officers at around 8.10am on Chequer\u2019s Road and taken to hospital for treatment. He was subsequently discharged and transferred to police custody.”<\/p>\n Assistant Chief Constable Arman Mathieson said: \u201cWe understand how alarming and distressing this incident has been for members of our community.
