Manchester United were humbled in the team\u2019s defeat against the ASEAN All Stars.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Apart from Leicester City, who we beat four times, it has felt like Manchester United were capable of losing against anyone in 2024\/25<\/a>.<\/p>\n

United managed to lose against Tottenham in a European final<\/a>, a moment of humiliation when you wonder if it could actually get any worse.<\/p>\n

The answer all season long has been \u2018yes, it can get worse\u2019, and this continued on the team\u2019s ridiculous postseason tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Manchester United contrived to lose the team\u2019s postseason tour friendly in Malaysia against the ASEAN All Stars<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Even boasting a starting line-up including \u00a364 million striker Rasmus Hojlund, five-times Champions League winner Casemiro, \u00a380 million defender Harry Maguire, and bringing on captain Bruno Fernandes in the second half, the team managed to lose 1-0<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Friendly results do not matter, but performances do, and this was not a display that inspired any confidence at all.<\/p>\n

It was summed up in the moment Chido Obi unleashed a shot at goal from the edge of the box, only to see it blocked by teammate Alejandro Garnacho.<\/p>\n

Despite some promising moments<\/a> from some of the younger players, it was a pathetic low-energy performance from the team.<\/p>\n

And while you could not blame them for lacking motivation for these pointless postseason games, they should still have served up something better than this.<\/p>\n

Ineos deserve the humiliation<\/p>\n

Manchester United have been a laughing stock all season. And you could not blame rival fans for taking a dig at United for travelling all the way to Malaysia to lose a friendly.<\/p>\n

This was just the latest humbling in a humiliating season. And quite frankly, Ineos<\/a> deserve it.<\/p>\n

Ineos organised this tour in order to raise funds. It was a decision made out of a combination of greed and desperation, with the club set to earn \u00a38 million from the two games<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And even if they are a necessary evil, we can\u2019t have any sympathy for Ineos after what Ruben Amorim described as a \u2018disaster season\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We have seen United finish in 15th place, fail to win a trophy, fire a manager, sack the director of football<\/a> just months into his role, while laying off hundreds of staff<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Manchester United supporters<\/a> deserve better, but Ineos should feel the burden of misery in the humiliating situation they have helped to create.<\/p>\n

Whatever happens in the final friendly against Hong Kong, there is one positive to take. This season will finally be over once and for all.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
