Farmers that grow milling wheat have gone on strike from April 1.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They will not be loading any trucks with milling wheat and we will probably run out of flour.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So if you&#8217;re wondering why the shelves are empty, get onto your local MP and say you need to help these farmers out, you can&#8217;t carry on putting them out of business.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If there is rationing on bread and cakes and hot cross buns, it is the politicians fault, its not our fault, we can&#8217;t carry on like this or we won&#8217;t be in business.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This comes as Britain faces a \u201chat-trick of horrors\u201d with higher taxes, possible US trade tariffs and new regulation on businesses.<\/p>\n<p>Millions hit by benefit cuts as Rachel Reeves warns \u2018if you can work, you should work!\u2019 in bid to fix \u2018broken system\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Rachel Reeves and Sir Keir Starmer are scrambling to convince Donald Trump not to clobber us with crippling trade levies on April 2.<\/p>\n<p>The tariffs would drive up prices, wipe out growth, and send Labour\u2019s economic plans into meltdown.<\/p>\n<p>Just four days later, on April 6, the \u00a324 billion National Insurance tax hike comes into force potentially devastating high streets.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the workers rights bill &#8211; which is currently being debated by parliament &#8211; is also set to hammer firms with growth-choking red tape.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/who\/kemi-badenoch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kemi Badenoch<\/a>\u00a0warned \u201chat-trick of horrors\u201d will lay waste to UK plc.<\/p>\n<p>Writing in The Sun on Sunday, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/topic\/conservative-party\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tory Party\u00a0<\/a>leader said: \u201cThe Prime Minister needs to get a grip before this triple whammy of economic pain sticks our country in a doom loop of stagnant growth and unemployment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Business chiefs warned the triple blow will drive up prices and lead to a tsunami of job losses.<\/p>\n<p>Kate Nicholls, CEO of UK Hospitality &#8211; an umbrella group which represents pubs, clubs and restaurants &#8211; said: \u201cBusinesses are being battered by decisions made in Westminster.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/topic\/labour-party\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Labour\u00a0<\/a>government is already on the ropes on the economy.<br \/>Earlier this week, the government\u2019s fiscal watchdog the OBR halved its growth prediction for the next year to a paltry 1 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>But the grim economic picture is poised to get even worse this week.<br \/>President Trump is threatening to slap tariffs of up to 25 per cent on all countries that impose VAT on goods &#8211; including the UK.<\/p>\n<p>The PM and his team are in frantic talks with the White House to try to avoid the crippling levies &#8211; which come into force this Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>If they fail, Britain\u2019s entire economic growth could be wiped out at one flick of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/who\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0Donald Trump\u2019s\u00a0<\/a>pen.<\/p>\n<p>This would send prices rocketing and could lead to heavy job losses.<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/where\/downing-street\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Downing Street<\/a>\u00a0insiders said talks will \u201cgo down to the wire\u201d and could even carry on after April 2 &#8211; which is being dubbed Liberation Day in the White House.<\/p>\n<p>No 10 does not believe a trade war is in anybody&#8217;s interests.
